SP Bright Edafe, the spokesman of Delta State police command confirmed the incident and stated that Ufuoma is in custody and will be prosecuted.

Though, the motive behind the crime remains unclear, but sources suggest that Ufuoma may be mentally unstable.

This was reportedly the second time he had attacked his father. During the first incident, intervention from the community vigilante group was required to stop the assault.

Despite this, Isaac Umurie had pleaded with the community not to report his son’s actions to the police.
