APC chieftain—Maxwell Okoye joins Anambra 2021 guber race

The Director of Southeast Presidential Committee on Political matters, Hon. Maxwell Okoye, has declared his intention to contest for Anambra State governorship election coming up on November 6, 2021.

Hon. Okoye, made the declaration at Abagana, Njikoka local government area of Anambra State during the weekend.

Okoye, who will be contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said the party had no zoning arrangement on the Anambra governorship election.

Speaking to newsmen while lamenting the decay in the state, he said: “We need change in Anambra State, we need to join the national train.

“I decided to come and rescue my State, that’s why I’m presenting myself to APC.

“The chances that will make us Governor are higher than the ones that will not make us governor

“I’m a grassroots man and also young to take my party to the promised land. The only thing for us to get it right is to conduct a free and fair primaries

“And with this arrangement, I’m good to pick the governorship ticket of APC and win the election for my party.

“It’s not a do or die affair. If I lose through that means, I will give support to any one that emerges.”
