APGA group sacks Maxi Okwu, suspends ors over visit

The leadership of Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association met and reviewed the secret meeting of Victor Oye, the National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance – APGA.

Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association until January 15, 2016, Supreme Court Judgement was a faction of APGA.

The meeting was with three of our members; Chief Maxi Okwu, Hon Shedrack Anakwue (Oronukwu) and Barr Obi Okafor.

Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association, after its emergency meeting on the sad development on the actions of the trio, decides as follows:

1. That Anyi Agaba group is not part of the meeting between Victor Oye and Chief Maxi Okwu & ors.

2. That Anyi Agaba group never sent Chief Maxi Okwu & ors to represent us in any meeting with Obiano group, neither did he sought our permission to do so.

3. That Anyi Agaba group after careful appraisal of the situation, sacks Chief Maxi Okwu as our chairman and suspends indefinitely, our Anambra state chairman Hon Shedrack Anakwue (Oronukwu) and Barr Obi Okafor.

4. That Anyi Agaba group appoints Chief Chris Ejike Uche (Dimkpa Asaa), the Deputy National Chairman of APGA under Umeh as the acting chairman of Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association.

5. That pending the appointment of a substantive chairman, the acting chairman, of Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association Chief Chris Ejike Uche shall oversee the activities of the group.

6. That anyone, persons or group dealing with Chief Maxi Okwu and ors on behalf of Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association, a defunct faction of APGA is doing so at his/their own risk as these officers no longer speak for us.

7. That Chief Maxi Okwu, Hon Shedrack Anakwue and Barr Obi Okafor remain suspended and should handover any property of the group to the acting chairman.

These decisions were reached, by stakeholders of Anyi Agaba Political and Grassroots Association. The major organs of the group were represented by;

Chief Chris Ejike Uche -Acting Chairman

Col Geoff Onyejegbu (rtd) -BOT chairman

Chief Reagan Ufomba – Abia

Barr Oba Maduabuchi – Enugu

Comr Tony Edochie – Anambra

Comr Ferguson Okpara – Ebonyi

Prof Dike – Imo

Zainab Abdullahi – Women leader
