#AusOpen: Djokovic Thrashes Pouille To Set Up Nadal Final

Novak Djokovic put up a resonating performance at the ongoing Australia Open tennis championship, beating Lucas Pouille 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 to reach the final.
World number one Novak Djokovic needs just one hour and 25 minutes to beat Pouille.
The top seed set up a tantalising #AusOpen final against Rafael Nadal by thrashing his opponent in a one-sided semi-final.
The Serb, 31, needed just one hour and 23 minutes to win 6-0 6-2 6-2.
Djokovic broke serve seven times as he outclassed 24-year-old Frenchman Pouille, seeded 28th and in his first Grand Slam semi-final.
Djokovic and Spaniard Nadal – who have 31 Grand Slams titles between them – will meet on Sunday for the final
Djokovic, a 14-time major winner, is aiming for a seventh Australian Open crown, which would move him clear of Roy Emerson and Roger Federer in terms of all-time victories in Melbourne.
Nadal, who would trail Federer by two if he wins his 18th major, could become the first man to claim a second career Grand Slam in the Open era.
On his part, Nadal, with his refined service motion and devastating forehand, continued his dominant streak at the Australian Open on Thursday for a place in his fifth final at Melbourne Park.
Nadal, who has won 17 Grand Slam championship trophies, including the 2009 Australian Open, didn’t put a foot wrong against Stefanos Tsitsipas, the 2018 Next Gen ATP Finals titlist and No. 14 seed, in a 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 victory over one hour and 45 minutes.
The Spanish superstar, who had beaten Tsitsipas in the finals of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell and the Rogers Cup in Toronto last year, booked a place in his 25th major championship final (17-7 record) by winning 49 of his 61 service points and hitting 28 winners. He also won the final nine games.
