Earlier in the week, tension had already been rising in Lile community, also in Patigi, after reports emerged of armed men traveling in a convoy of more than 40 motorcycles, each carrying two to three riders.

Witnesses from a neighboring village alerted residents about the movement of the bandits, who passed through another settlement without confrontation before heading toward Lile community. Their current whereabouts remain unknown.

Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the Manba abduction, and the identities of the kidnapped individuals remain unconfirmed.
