Bayelsa Governor, Duoye Diri don and over to him Deputy, go on leave

Di Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Duoye Diri, don go on him annual leave from Monday, 25th November, 2024.

Duoye Diri, for him own signed statement on Monday, come talk say for him absence, di State Deputy Governor, Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, go take over all di official work.

Him also assure say, him absence no go affect governance or cause any delay for di execution of all di ongoing projects and program wey different ministries and agencies dey carry out.

Governor Diri talk say, him no don take break since e take oath for second term for February dis year.

“From today, November 25, 2024, I go dey go my annual leave.”

“Dis year don dey busy for me since we take oath for di 2nd term for February dis year.

“My absence no go affect governance for di State as di Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, get di mandate to take charge of all di state functions.”

“Also, my absence no go cause any delay for di work wey different ministries, agencies and departments dey do,” he talk.

“For di  black out wey dey happen for di  state, wey come from di damaged Ahoada-Yenagoa 132kV line, wey don last for several months, Governor Diri talk say dem still dey do repair work and e get hope say light go soon come back for di state.”

E recognize di personal and economic wahala wey dis mata don bring come and him dey beg di pipo make dem try to get small patience.

“About di long blackout for di State, I dey happy say our work to fix di vandalized towers dey show result as we don finish to work on di damaged Ahoada-Yenagoa 132kV line.”

“Wit di serious repair wey don happen so far, I dey hopeful say power go soon come back once dem replace di recently vandalized conductor for towers 29 to 31.

“I don also hear say both conventional and local security don dey engage for Ula Ikata and Ihuike communities for Ahoada-East LGA of Rivers State to secure di site until dem finish di oda repair works.”

“While we dey fight to restore public power, our Government don start process to build our own Independent Power Plant di buying and installation of new Gas Turbines.”

“We dey committed to make sure say we go get steady electricity supply for di State as we dey follow our ASSURED Prosperity Agenda,” e talk.
