The President of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Oladele, has urged Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration despite the current economic hardship.
Speaking on Wednesday at the 2025 CAC Pastors’ Conference in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Oladele encouraged citizens to endure ongoing challenges, assuring them that “there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
Oladele expressed optimism that Tinubu’s reforms, though difficult in the short term, have the potential to deliver lasting progress for the country.
He acknowledged the complexities of leadership and commended the administration’s efforts to reduce economic pressure on households.
The cleric also appealed to the federal government to roll out more people-focused policies that would ease hardship and allow Nigerians to enjoy the full dividends of democracy.
Addressing the Christian community, he charged believers to live as “beacons of light” by embodying goodness and integrity in society.
According to him, Nigerians do not need political office to drive positive change.
“You don’t need to be in government before you can bring the needed change.
If churchgoers live according to God’s word and preachers lead by example, there will be positive transformation,” Oladele said.
He further urged pastors to model trustworthy leadership, stressing the importance of raising worthy successors.
“A leader who fails to raise a worthy successor has ultimately failed,” he noted.
Oladele’s message comes at a time when many Nigerians are grappling with rising food prices, insecurity, and economic uncertainty.
His call for patience reflects a growing appeal from religious and political leaders for citizens to remain hopeful as the country navigates reforms.
