Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre following his arraignment before a Federal High Court in Abuja on April 1, 2026.

The cryptocurrency entrepreneur is facing multiple allegations, including impersonation and forgery, linked to claims that he falsely used the identity of social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

According to details shared publicly, the case centers around accusations that Blord allegedly created and circulated misleading promotional materials suggesting a partnership that did not exist. These materials reportedly included forged travel documents, billboards, and flyers bearing VeryDarkMan’s name and image, as well as claims of a N500 million brand ambassador deal and endorsement of certain apps.

VeryDarkMan has strongly denied all affiliations, stating that he does not engage in paid promotions or endorsements. He also emphasized that he has previously rejected high-value deals in order to maintain the integrity of his platform and personal brand.

Following the court proceedings, Blord was ordered to remain in custody for 26 days pending further hearings, a period that will see him remain at the Kuje facility through the Easter season. A video circulating online shows him being escorted by officials after the court session, further fueling public discussion around the case.

The situation has sparked widespread reactions across social media, with debates focusing on issues of identity misuse, digital fraud, and accountability in influencer marketing. Many observers are also highlighting the growing risks associated with unauthorized endorsements and the legal consequences that can arise from misrepresentation.

As the case progresses, attention remains on the court’s next steps and whether further evidence will be presented to support the charges. The outcome could set a notable precedent regarding the use of public figures’ identities in promotional campaigns within Nigeria’s rapidly expanding digital and crypto space.
