The secretary to the federal government of the federation (SGF) Engr. Babachir David Lawal [image above] has revealed that persistence of killings through bombings by Boko Haramists will soon die off despite increase of bomb attacks in recent times.

Lawal who made the disclosure during a commiseration visit to Adamawa State noted that the spate of bombings is sign that the insurgent group is displaying the last kick of a dying horse.

He urged the people to be security conscious, embrace community policing and be vigilant in studying movement of people especially strangers.

Lawal noted that the lackluster attitude of the people towards security is mostly responsible for the wanton bomb attacks being experienced adding that those that are carrying out attacks on communities are also part of the communities.

“Boko Haram is a struggling dying man that his injured head will soon be removed from its neck despite their persistence in bombings our brother and sisters in the country. I am calling on people to be security conscious in our communities, not hesitate to report any suspected person around,” Lawal said

“Community policing is the best form of protection to us; I am calling on people to be much aware of the happening around our environment,” he added.

While acknowledging the timely intervention of the state government, the SGF reiterated the federal government’s readiness to assist the state government with funds whenever necessary to alleviate the suffering of victims of any such incident.

In his remark, Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa thanked the president for his show of concern to the state during its difficult times.
