Obi to nominate National Organizing Secretary of ADC

Mr. Peter Obi has asked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to grant him the power to nominate the National Organizing Secretary of the party.

Diaspora Digital Media understand that this office plays a vital role in the affairs of the party.

The holder of this position will be in charge of party primaries, delegate elections, and other electoral field work.

Though, it is been argued in some quarters that this could put an end to the narratives of a preemptive “dollarized” primaries.

Moreover, among other things, the National Organizing Secretary is responsible for the initiation of programmes aimed at membership drive; collate information and implement strategy for winning elections; organize seminar, rally, campaign programmes; coordinate field activites for the party; actively in charge of party primaries; and liase with other members of the party structures in the interest of the party.
