BREAKING: Atiku Abubakar Lands Abuja After US Visit

Published

on

Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has returned to Nigeria after a two-day trip to the United States.

Alhaji Abubakar came in company with the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and other PDP stalwarts.

The aircraft conveying the former vice president touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at about 3:00pm on Saturday.

While in Washington D.C., Atiku met with some Nigerians and participated in a business roundtable at the US Chamber of Commerce.

Addressing his supporters from a makeshift rostrum within the Legacy House compound, Atiku said he is ready for the presidential debate holding later on Saturday’s evening.

Thanking his supporters for their commitment, he said he is going to refresh and come for the presidential debate.

His visit came as a shock to the opposition party, who has alleged that he would not be able to enter the US, over corruption charges leveled against him in the country.
