Chaos has erupted at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers State.

After the presidential election result was announced, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenged the figures, insisting that the INEC officials in the state are working against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Samson Ngerebara, the APC agent, challenged Enefiok Essien, the state collation officer, on the figures declared.

According to the figures released by INEC, APC polled 150,710 votes while PDP secured its win with 473,971 votes.

Contesting the figures, Ngerebara said: “If you want to make yourself the tribunal, sit now and start to investigate all the results. I have the recording of all you said last night.”

“You mutilated results against our President Muhammadu Buhari,” another APC agent said.

Essien was escorted out of the collation centre by armed security agents, as APC agents moved to stop his exit, bringing the exercise to a chaotic end.

Journalist and observers resorted to escaping from the centre through the windows.
