Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court has washed her hands off the case involving former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro in the immigration scam.
The former Interior Minister is standing trial for allegedly defrauding immigration applicants of over N670 million.
At the resumed trial in Abuja, Justice Chikere said she is returning the case file of Mr Moro to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.
Justice Chikere cited “personal reasons” for her withdrawal.
The case will now be reassigned for continued trial by the Chief Judge.
With the latest development, the trial has suffered a setback as the judge hands off the matter.
