Anuoluwapo Opeyori, representing Nigeria in Badminton has won the first gold for the country.
He won the medal at the ongoing 13th African Games in Ghana.
Ooeyori is a two times African Games champion
He defeated Godwin Olofua 2-1 (19-21, 21-17, 21-15) in the Final of the men’s badminton singles.
