In what appears to be an overhauling of his cabinet, President Bola Tinubu has abruptly fired five ministers on Wednesday.

Also, Mr Tinubu reassigned ten ministers to new portfolios and appointed seven new ministers pending Senate confirmation.

Moreover, the ministers who were offloaded from his cabinet include Uju-Ken Ohanenye (Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Gwarzo (State Minister for Housing and Urban Development), and Jamila Ibrahim (Youth Development).

“The appointment of Shehu Dikko as Chairman of the National Sports Commission.

“The appointment of Sunday Akin Dare as Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation working from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation,” the Presidency said in a statement.
