The Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State on Tuesday, struck out the petition filed by the candidate of the Labour Party—LP, Mr Chief Frank Chinasa, seeking to cancel the election of the member representing Bende federal constituency and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Benjamin Kalu.
The three-man tribunal in a unanimous ruling read by its Chairman, Justice Samson Paul Gang, dismissed the petition for lacking merit.
