BREAKING: Troops gun down bandits’ kingpin Kachallah Buzu, others

Troops under the Joint Task Force of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD), have killed notorious bandit leader Kachallah Buzu, along with scores of his fighters in Zamfara State.

The terrorists leader have been tormenting the State for quite sometime.

The operation, which was executed on the night of September 12 in Mayanchi village, was the result of a well calculated ambush laid by the gallant troops following intelligence reports on the terrorists’ movements.

Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Mr Zagazola Makama reported that the troops had laid a strategic ambush, which resulted in the elimination of Buzu and many of his foot soldiers.

In addition to the heavy casualties inflicted on the criminals, the troops also confiscated 30 motorcycles and a significant stockpile of weapons, dealing a devasting blow to the group’s operational strength.

Meanwhile, the success of this operation was a huge victory in the ongoing efforts to combat banditry in the Northwest region.
