BREAKING: Wike receives uppercut as court declares gov Fubara’s loyalist Rivers Assembly Speaker

Former governor of Rivers State and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has received a devastating blow from his successor, governor Sim Fubara, as a Federal High Court sitting in the State has confirmed Honourable Edison Ehie as the legitimate speaker of the State House of Assembly.

Honourable Edison Ehie is one of the four gallant lawmakers in governor Siminalayi Fubara’s camp. He was the political buffalo that scuttled the impeachment attempt on the governor.

Though, the lastest landmark ruling by the court is coming after 27 lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party loyal to Mr Nysom Wike defected to the All Progressives Congress on Monday.

Recall that in the aftermath of the House of Assembly crisis, Ehie was suspended and replaced as leader of the House by his overzealous colleagues.

Also recall that there has been a serious political face-off between Fubara and his predecessor, Wike over control of the political structure in the State.
