CP Danjuma unveils New facility for special investigative purposes

The Commissioner of Police Imo state police command, Mr Aboki Danjuma has unveiled new facility for special investigative purposes and to strengthen security in the state.
Henry Okoye, Command’s spokesman said in a press release of Sunday 16th February 2025.
Okoye stated that the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, on February 14, 2025, officially unveiled a newly constructed building for the CP’s Desk Investigation Unit.
“This special investigative unit is tasked with curbing criminal activities both within and outside the state metropolis. The facility marks an important development in supporting the Command’s efforts to enhance security in Imo State.
The building was constructed by Prince Stanley Nwakama”, Okoye noted.
He said that during the unveiling, Prince Nwakama commended CP Aboki Danjuma for his proactive approach and commitment to community policing.
He emphasized that the construction of the facility was his way of contributing to the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the state.
He hinted that the Commissioner of Police,Aboki Danjuma in his address expressed deep gratitude to Prince Nwakama for his support in bringing the project to fruition.
He unveiled the new facility on behalf of the 22nd indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
“The unveiling was seen as a symbol of continued collaboration between the police command and the community in achieving a safer Imo state.
CP Danjuma also took the opportunity to remind the CP’s Desk Unit personnel of their duty to uphold the professional standards set by IGP Egbetokun.
He urged them to align their actions with the police vision, stressing the importance of integrity, adherence to the rule of law, and avoiding any conduct that could damage the force’s reputation”, he stated
“The event was attended by several prominent figures, including the command’s management team, Hon. Okereke Godson Bishop, the SA to the Governor on Rural Water Supply, and other distinguished guests.
“In closing, ASP Wilson, offered a vote of thanks to Prince Nwakama and assured CP Danjuma that the unit would maintain the highest standards of professionalism in carrying out its duties”, the statement reads.
