Di Acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.- Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, don warn terrorists and oda criminals wey still dey operate to ready for serious consequences as di military go come harder on dem.

Oluyede talk dis one for di handing and taking over ceremony for di Nigerian Army Infantry Corps, Jaji Military Cantonment on Wednesday for Kaduna.

According to report say Oluyede na di 56th Commander of di Infantry Corps before dem appoint am as Acting Chief of Army by President Bola Tinubu.

Di Acting COAS hand over to Maj.-Gen. Abdul-Khalifa Ibrahim wey now be di 57th Commander of Infantry Corps.

According to am, for di Naija Army to succeed, e need di Infantry.

E urge am to move di Infantry forward and embark on massive training wey dem need for soldiers for di field.

“Nobody get monopoly of violence besides dose of us wey dey uniform.

For di criminals out there, dem suppose ready for good run from us bicos we go go all out for dem.

“As for Naija, we go try as much as possible to make am more secure for dem under my watch,” e talk.

Earlier for him remarks, Maj-Gen. Ibrahim thank di acting COAS for him many years of dedicated service to di Infantry Corps, and pledge to key into him vision for di infantry and Army in general.

“On my part, I pledge to lead di Infantry with integrity, courage, honour and utmost dedication, embracing best practices in all I do.

“To my brave and dedicated fellow infantry men both officers and soldiers, I recognise di sacrifices, resilience and value wey define our infantry tradition.

“Your selflessness, teamwork and unwavering loyalty dey inspire all of us,” e talk.

Ibrahim urge di personnel to continue to embrace di Army core values of loyalty, integrity, discipline, selfless service, respect for others and courage in di discharge of their responsibilities.

Report say di new Commander Infantry Corps na member of di 39th Regular Course Naija Defence Academy (NDA), and e hail from Damboa LGA of Borno State.

For di course of him illustrious career for di Naija Army, e don be acting Garrison Commander for 1 Division Kaduna, Commander 14 Brigade, General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Maiduguri and e also command di Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) for N’djamena, Chad.
