Grammy-nominated singer Davido has announced plans to donate millions to orphanages across Nigeria through his organization, the Davido Adeleke Foundation (DAF).

This donation is part of Davido’s annual birthday charity initiative.

“Once again my birthday this year, we donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon”, he wrote on X.

Recall that Davido, in 2022, established DAF to support vulnerable children nationwide.

“I founded the DAF in 2022 with a strong desire and passion to continually assist and create a proper framework for the ongoing charitable works to benefit the good people of Nigeria.

“Through this foundation, we have raised millions of Naira and dispersed much-needed funds to hundreds of orphanages significantly improving the lives of countless children,” his press release in 2022 read.

Last year, the foundation donated over N200 million to orphanages, impacting 13,818 children.

Davido reaffirmed his commitment to continue these efforts in 2024.

DAF’s mission is to provide a framework for Davido’s charitable works, raising millions for hundreds of orphanages.
