Popular Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has been announced as an inductee for the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, United States.
The organisers made the announcement via their official Instagram page, confirming that Davido will be honoured during the induction ceremony scheduled for June 1, 2026, in Atlanta’s Historic Westside.
In the post shared on Instagram, the organisers praised Davido for his global impact in music, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship, describing him as a key figure in pushing African music to international recognition.

According to the statement, Davido’s music has helped bridge cultural gaps, with his sound, performances, and collaborations contributing to the global rise of Afrobeats.
Other inductees for the 2026 class include American rapper Ludacris, gospel singer Paul Morton, and former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson.
The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame, created by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, honours individuals who have made lasting contributions to Black music and global entertainment.
The 2026 ceremony will take place along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Northside Drive in Atlanta, outside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where inductees will be permanently honoured for their cultural impact.
