(DDM) — Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) Academy has announced a free holiday coding programme designed to introduce children to digital skills, creativity, and innovation through structured learning in programming and technology.
The initiative, titled DDM Academy Kids Holiday Coding Class, is scheduled to run from April 7 to April 28, 2026, and is open to children interested in exploring foundational and advanced tech skills in a guided learning environment.
Organisers described the programme as a strategic effort to equip young learners with future-ready abilities in coding, problem-solving, and digital creativity at no cost, although terms and conditions apply.
According to the announcement, participants will be introduced to programming languages such as Python and Scratch, with practical lessons aimed at simplifying complex coding concepts for beginners.
The curriculum will also include hands-on activities where children will build simple games and animations, helping them develop both technical competence and creative expression.
Beyond coding, the programme is designed to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which organisers say are essential for success in today’s digital economy.
Classes will be delivered in a flexible format, with both online and physical learning options available to accommodate different learners.
For physical sessions, classes will hold daily from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, while online classes will run from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM via Google Meet, ensuring accessibility for participants regardless of location.
The organisers stated that the hybrid structure is intended to make learning more inclusive and convenient for parents and students.
Interested parents and guardians have been urged to register their children through the official link: https://ddmacademy.net/kidscodingclasses.
They also provided a contact line for inquiries and support, stating that registration assistance is available via WhatsApp on +234-8139548795.
DDM Academy emphasized that the programme is part of its broader mission to empower the next generation with digital literacy, describing coding as “the new literacy” in a rapidly evolving global economy.
The initiative is expected to attract significant participation as parents increasingly seek opportunities to expose their children to technology-based education and future career pathways.
