Delta monarch allegedly kidnapped by Fulani herdsmen found dead

The traditional ruler of Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, Obi Agbogidi Akaeze Ofulue, is dead, reports THE WILL.

Obi Ofulue was found dead in Umunede area of Delta State.

The respected monarch was kidnapped a few weeks ago between Igbodo and Obior area of the state.

The car in which he was riding, a Toyota Land Cruiser, was intercepted by persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

This was as the driver slowed down to drive through a bad spot.

The kidnappers demanded for a ransom of N100 million.

The spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, Celestina Kalu, confirmed the death of Obi Ofulue on Thursday.

THEWILL quoted Kalu as saying the Command would issue an official statement on the development on Friday.
