EFCC arrests former Taraba gov for N27b fraud

Architect Darius Ishaku, former Taraba State governor has been reportedly arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N27 billion fraud.

While quoting top sources within the anti-graft agency, Sahara Reporters reports that Darius was taken into custody on Friday.

One of the sources reportedly revealed that at least 15-count charges had been lodged against Ishaku and he would be arraigned in court soon as evidence against him had been put together.

Ishaku who is a member of the Peoples Democratic, served as the governor of Taraba State from May 2015 to May 2023.

In May 2021, the commission also arrested three officials who served under his government for alleged involvement in a N21 billion scam.
