EFCC social media gets a pat on the back by Broadcast Academy

The National Broadcast Academy [NBA] has vigorously commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] Social Media presence.

The commendation was made today, 5th September, 2016, by Mr. Ayodele Aliyu, Head of Academy.

Mr. Aliyu made the commendation at the opening of the NBA 4-day workshop organised by the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, UNODC, in Lagos.

The workshop which is a project “Support To Anti-Corruption In Nigeria”, is in conjunction with the Mass Communication Department, University of Lagos. 

Aliyu, a communication expert, said he is a religious follower of the EFCC social media platforms.

He explained that the methodology and the choice of name for the platforms make it catchy and easy to identify with. 

He said he likes the platform’s efficiency, timely and regular dissemination of anti-corruption information and sensitization. 

“The organisation’s strategy in its mandate of reaching out to a large number of followers, the choice of name ‘official EFCC’ also makes it very easy to identify them unlike other agencies. 

“They are doing a good work, they must be commended”, he emphasized. 

The workshop was organised for the media and communication officers from 14 anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria. 

It was designed to increase the capacity and knowledge of the officers.

 Also, to promote, share learning experience in the use of different public awareness tools among the anti-corruption agencies towards reducing corruption in Nigeria.
