The Commissioner of Police (CP) in charge of Force Airwing, Mr Danladi Lalas, has pledged to emplace adequate aerial assets for robust aerial surveillance, ahead of the 2021 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and beyond.

Lalas gave the pledge in a statement issued by the Public Relations Liaison Officer of the airwing, ASP Muhammad Sadiq, on Monday in Abuja.

He said that the emplacement of the aerial assets was to stem the tide of crimes and criminal activities.

According to him, it is also to ensure significant improvement on public safety and security during the festive period.

The police commissioner said that the idea was in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mr Usman Baba, to improve the nation’s security and boost public safety.

He pledged this commitment to the provision of aerial support and assistance to ground forces.

Lalas felicitated Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir, urging them to utilise the season for continuous prayers for the nation.
