Recruitment Details and Objectives
Mrs. Olusola Gbenga-Igotun, the Ministry of Health’s Permanent Secretary, officially announced the recruitment exercise.
She stated that the governor had approved the employment of numerous healthcare workers to strengthen the state’s healthcare system.
The recruitment portal has been launched for qualified individuals to apply for various healthcare positions.
The government’s objective is to make healthcare more affordable, accessible, and efficient for residents.
The online application portal is open from March 28, 2025, for two weeks.
Positions Available and Application Process
The available vacancies cover secondary and primary healthcare facilities in Ekiti State.
Doctors, Graduate Nurses, and Nurse/Midwives will be employed under the State Hospitals’ Management Board.
Nurse/Midwives and Community Health Officers will be recruited for the State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
Interested candidates must apply through the official recruitment portal: https://mhhs.ekitistate.gov.ng/recruitment.
Shortlisted applicants will receive invitations for interviews based on a merit-driven selection process.
Qualifications and Job Expectations
Doctors must have an MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
They must also have full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
An NYSC discharge or exemption certificate is mandatory for all applicants.
Doctors must hold a valid practicing license to qualify for employment.
Their responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and managing medical conditions ethically and professionally.
Graduate Nurses must possess a BSc in Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
They must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
A valid NYSC certificate and practicing license are required for eligibility.
Their duties involve assisting in patient care, monitoring vital signs, and supporting senior medical staff.
Nurse/Midwives must hold RN/RM qualifications and be registered with the NMCN.
A valid practicing license is mandatory for employment in the state’s healthcare system.
They will provide maternity care, assist in childbirth, and support general patient care.

The State Hospitals’ Management Board oversees 21 secondary healthcare facilities across 16 Local Government Areas.
This recruitment aims to fill critical vacancies and improve medical service delivery across the state.
