Omokri is Shameless, Says El-Rufai former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has described ex-presidential aide Reno Omokri as lacking “total shamelessness.”

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM), El-Rufai’s remark came in response to Omokri’s recent statement accusing him of contributing to killings in Southern Kaduna.

Omokri, in a post on X, alleged that El-Rufai admitted to paying armed herdsmen while serving as governor.

He also accused El-Rufai’s administration of human rights violations, including the 2015 Zaria Shiite massacre.

Omokri claimed that El-Rufai’s government played a role in the deaths of 438 Shiite men, women, and children.

El-Rufai dismissed Omokri’s accusations, describing him as part of a group that thrives on deception and shameless propaganda.

His response was directed at a post by Imran U. Wakili, who shared a picture of El-Rufai and Omokri.

Wakili’s caption emphasized the value of mentorship in shaping the success of individuals.

He noted that a true mentor offers recognition, freedom, and opportunities more valuable than money.

Wakili suggested that wisdom does not necessarily come with age or experience.

El-Rufai, in his response, took a swipe at Omokri and others he labeled as “PR consultants and online influencers.”

He alleged that these individuals had embraced shamelessness for financial gain under the “Renewed Hope” administration.

“Please, Imran, let them be,” El-Rufai wrote in his reaction.

“They are PR consultants and online influencers benefiting from propaganda in this Renewed Hope era,” he added.

He claimed that propaganda was now considered a tool to solve insecurity and economic challenges.

El-Rufai sarcastically listed the qualifications needed to thrive in what he called a shameless propaganda industry.

According to him, these include “moral flexibility, total shamelessness, selective amnesia, and wretched upbringing.”

He also mentioned “an intense craving for quick and easy money” as a necessary trait.

“In their world, the future doesn’t matter,” he stated.

“Integrity is debatable, and truth is out,” he added.

El-Rufai’s response triggered widespread online reactions, with some supporting his criticism of Omokri.

Others condemned his choice of words, arguing that it was unbecoming of a former governor.

Omokri, however, remained defiant and responded with more allegations against El-Rufai.

He reiterated that El-Rufai’s administration was responsible for the 2015 Zaria Shiite massacre.

Omokri described the incident as one of Africa’s worst human rights violations.

He also accused El-Rufai of using state resources to demolish the homes of his political opponents in Kaduna.

Furthermore, Omokri pointed to what he called El-Rufai’s reckless utterances against Christians.

He referenced a controversial remark El-Rufai allegedly made on January 27, 2013.

Omokri claimed that El-Rufai insulted Jesus Christ in that statement.

He also cited a comment from January 18, 2019, in which El-Rufai said Christians would never vote for him.

According to Omokri, these remarks reflect El-Rufai’s alleged religious bias and divisive politics.

He maintained that El-Rufai’s legacy was built on controversy, intolerance, and shameless pursuit of power.

The ongoing war of words between the two has reignited debates on El-Rufai’s tenure as governor.

Some view him as a bold and pragmatic leader who made tough decisions.

Others see him as a divisive figure who fostered ethnic and religious tensions.

Omokri has built a reputation for attacking government officials on social media.

He frequently accuses them of corruption, misgovernance, and human rights abuses.

However, his critics argue that he engages in selective criticism based on political affiliations.

They claim he ignores similar issues when they involve individuals aligned with his political interests.

El-Rufai, known for his blunt style, has never shied away from controversy.

He often dismisses critics as political opportunists seeking relevance.

His recent statement labeling Omokri and others as “shameless” reflects his combative approach to political discourse.

His remarks suggest that he sees Omokri’s accusations as an orchestrated smear campaign.

Despite the heated exchanges, neither El-Rufai nor Omokri appears willing to back down.

Their ongoing clash highlights deep political and ideological divides in Nigeria.

Accusations and counter-accusations have become common features of the nation’s political landscape.

It remains to be seen whether El-Rufai will further address the allegations against him.

Omokri, on the other hand, appears determined to continue his relentless campaign.

Their rivalry shows no signs of ending anytime soon.

For now, the battle of words between the two continues, with no resolution in sight.
