Elon Musk, world’s richest man, changes name to Kekius Maximus on X

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has sparked intense speculation by changing his name on X to “Kekius Maximus”. This sudden move has left many wondering about the inspiration behind his new moniker. Musk, a close confidant of US President-Elect Donald Trump, has offered no explanation for the name change or his new profile image, which features Pepe the Frog, a meme often associated with far-right groups.

The name “Kekius” is believed to be a Latinised version of “kek”, a term popularised by gamers that roughly translates to “laugh out loud”. Interestingly, “Kek” is also the name of an ancient Egyptian god of darkness, often depicted with the head of a frog. The surname “Maximus” bears a striking resemblance to Russell Crowe’s character in the film Gladiator, Maximus Decimus Meridius.

Musk’s name change has sent shockwaves through the cryptocurrency world, with the value of a memecoin sharing the same name surging by over 900%. This development has raised questions about Musk’s potential involvement in the cryptocurrency, given his history of influencing crypto prices through his social media commentary.

As the speculation continues to build, one thing is certain – Elon Musk’s decision to become “Kekius Maximus” has left the world intrigued and eager for answers.
