KANO, Nigeria — The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, will formally confer the traditional title of Sarkin Fulanin Ja’idanawa on Mohammad Dikko Umar, former Chief of Air Staff, on Friday.

The investiture ceremony is expected to attract traditional rulers, government officials, military officers, and dignitaries from across the country, who will gather to witness the formal conferment of the title. Umar, who served as Chief of Air Staff from 2019 to 2023, is being honoured for his contributions to the nation and his ties to the Kano Emirate.
