The Co-Founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, has urged African women to embrace their sexuality confidently.

She challenged cultural beliefs that suppress women’s desires and discourage open discussions about intimacy in marriages.

In a video posted on Instagram on Tuesday 2nd of April 2025, Adejumo stressed the importance of communication in marital relationships.

She encouraged women to discard societal expectations and freely express their needs to their partners.

According to her, mutual enjoyment is crucial for a happy and fulfilling marriage.

“I like sex. If I don’t, how will I have children? You are just pretending; you like sex,” she said.

She noted that African culture wrongly teaches women to hide their enjoyment of intimacy.

“When the man is touching you, you’re happy, but you pretend.

“This mindset causes problems in marriage,” she added.

Adejumo urged women to discard outdated beliefs that undermine their relationships.

She advised wives to be more expressive and embrace physical connection with their partners.

“Tell yourself, sex is good. I want my husband, don’t just be like missionary,” she emphasized.

She warned that repressing desires can negatively affect marriages and lead to emotional disconnection.

“You cannot believe that African mentality, the devil is using it to destroy marriages,” she cautioned.

According to her, intimacy is the highest level of connection in marriage and should not be neglected.

She encouraged women to actively participate and appreciate their partners during intimate moments.

“Tickle your husband, touch him when he’s making love to you,” she advised.

She added that positive feedback strengthens marital bonds and builds deeper connections.

“When he finishes, tell him he did a good job,” Adejumo concluded.

Her message has sparked discussions on social media, with many supporting her views.

Others, however, argue that cultural values should not be disregarded in such conversations.

The video continues to generate reactions from Nigerians across various social media platforms.
