Nollywood actress Judy Austin, wife of actor Yul Edochie, has taken a major legal step against two people connected to her past and present life, filing separate defamation lawsuits against her former husband, Emmanuel Chukwuobasi, and veteran actress Rita Edochie, a relative of her current husband. The two suits, which seek a combined sum of more than ₦2 billion in damages, mark a significant escalation in the long-running public controversies surrounding Judy, her marriage to Yul and the increasingly bitter exchanges that have played out across social media.
