Barrister Inibehe Effiong with Chioma Okoli

Inibehe Effiong, human rights lawyer and counsel to Chioma Okoli standing trial over her online review of tomato puree produced by Erisco Foods has provided updates on the case, maintaining the innocence of his client.

Bar. Effiong made the update on his Facebook wall on Thursday shortly after leaving the court in Abuja.

“Due to multiple inquiries, we were with Chioma Okoli at the Federal High Court in Abuja, this morning for the charge filed by the Inspector General of Police (the Erisco matter).

“The case has been further adjourned to Tuesday, the 28th day of May, 2024.

“History will vindicate the just,” he said.
