David Moyes is set to make a sensational return to Everton as their new manager, marking a significant chapter in the club’s history.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM), Moyes has reached an agreement with the Toffees and will be officially announced this weekend.

The 61-year-old manager, who previously led Everton for 11 successful years, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at Goodison Park until 2027.

This decision comes after the sacking of Sean Dyche on Thursday, with the team languishing in 16th place in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone.

Moyes’ first game in charge will see Everton face Aston Villa in a crucial Premier League clash next Wednesday.

Moyes’ return to Goodison Park brings back memories of his transformative tenure at the club.

During his time with the Toffees from 2002 to 2013, he managed over 500 games and took Everton from being relegation strugglers to a formidable side that even secured Champions League qualification in 2005.

His tactical acumen and leadership were pivotal in reshaping the club’s identity and ambitions.

After leaving Everton in June 2013 to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, Moyes experienced mixed fortunes, including stints at Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and, most recently, West Ham.

He has been out of work since departing West Ham at the end of last season, where he managed to stabilize the team during challenging periods.

The appointment of Moyes signals a new era for Everton under their new owners, The Friedkin Group.

The ownership has expressed confidence in Moyes’ ability to guide the team out of their current struggles and restore stability.

The Toffees have endured a difficult season with just one win in their last 11 games, and Moyes’ extensive Premier League experience could prove invaluable in steering the team away from relegation danger.

Fans are eager to see how Moyes will approach his second spell at Everton, with many hoping he can replicate the success of his earlier tenure.

As he takes the reins once again, all eyes will be on Goodison Park to witness the start of this highly anticipated managerial comeback.
