Former Ministers on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] has, on Thursday, met with the National Caretaker Committee following the resolution of the leadership crisis on Wednesday.
The PDP former Ministers with the Caretaker Committee met to celebrate the victory at the Supreme Court that put rest to the crisis that has been bedeviling the party for about two years.
Recall that the Supreme Court had, on Wednesday, affirmed Senator Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic chairman of the party.
The apex court sacked former Borno State governor, Ali Modu Sherriff and blasted him for desperation to holding power at all cost.

After the Ministers’ and Caretaker Committee’s meeting, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Prince Dayo Adeyeye gave live press briefing.
Prince Adeyeye briefed the media to clarify certain issues arising from the Court decision.
He informed the media that the Supreme Court set aside the judgment of the Appeal Court and ruled that, there was no court order stopping the May 21st, 2016 National Convention of the PDP in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
The Order only restrained the convention from electing officers into certain positions in the party and not preventing the convention from holding.
The Supreme Court also held that the desolation of the National Working Committee of the PDP at the May 21st 2016 Convention stands.
The Supreme Court therefore affirmed the setup of the National Caretaker Committee by the Convention, which is the highest decision making Organ of the Party, in line with Part x (5)(e) of the PDP Constitution.
The Convention allows the Convention to appoint any Committee as it may deem necessary, desirable or expedient and assign to them such powers and functions as it may deem fit.
In other-words, the judgment of the Supreme Court once again affirmed the powers and supremacy of Party National Convention.
