There was several attempts by Mr Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed leader of the Autopilot—a break away faction of the Indigenous People Of Biafra—IPOB, to lure the commander of Biafra National Guard—BNG, General Innocent Orji, to pick up arms against the federal government of Nigeria, a source familiar with what transpired during the interface, reliably told NewsBand Newspaper.
Ekpa, after he was chased out of the Indigenous People Of Biafra by Nnamdi Kanu’s lieutenants, over his overbearing character, became so desperate to remain relevant in the Biafra franchise. According to the source, he immediately opened discussion with General Innocent Orji who has some few foot soldiers littered around him.
The Finland based agitator, NewsBand was told, promised General Innocent Orji that if he will agree to take on Nigeria security agents in a combat battle, he will provide the necessary funding for the operation. Part of the combat mission include attacking both police, army, NSCDC and DSS formations in the Southeast region.
The discussion between the duo this paper was told, lasted for a while but later broke down as General Orji squarely refused to accept Ekpa’s expensive joke.
“General Innocent Orji during the interface with Simon Ekpa made it clear that it will be a slap on his person as a General that commands Biafra national army to start launching attacks on targets that will jeopardize the lives of innocent civilians in the Southeast”, a former BNG operative said.
Following the breakdown of discussion between Ekpa and Orji, the former and other rogue elements in Europe and America proceeded to launch Biafra Liberation Army. The militia group, according to a source was behind the killing of nine security operatives in Imo State on Wednesday.
Mr Ekpa, who has been a pain on the anus of IPOB, has continue to disregard several warnings by the leadership of the Indigenous People Of Biafra—IPOB to desist from taking amorous actions that could further complicate the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
Mr Emmanuel Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB had distanced the separatist movement from his criminality.
Ekpa shot into prominence after he was disgraced out of Radio Biafra London as an anchorman.
