Ahead of the looming ban by FIFA, the federal government has written the world football governing recognizing Amaju Pinnick-led Nigeria Football Federation [NFF] as the current and only NFF Executive Committee.
The move is a least minute effort to avert FIFA hammer which was expected to land today, August 20, 2018, ElombahNews has gathered.
The football umpire had warned Nigeria that it will ostracise the country from participating in global football unless it recognises Pinnick as NFF president.
The ruling party, All Progressives Congress [APC], has also confirmed the development on its Twitter handle.
