Fight to rescue Nigeria is A must
By Ibraheemalfa Abdulrasheed
Dele Farotimi,is boldly doing what many Nigerians are not ready to do which is paying the high price of exposing the pervasive rot and corruption in our system.
He’s fearlessly exposing corruption in the judiciary, police, customs, religion, and other sectors that have made Nigeria the poverty capital of the world where nothing thrives except looting, embezzlement, robbery, and wickedness, his courage stands out.
Ironically, despite Nigeria’s reputation as a very religious nation, with almost every home having a pastor or imam, and churches and mosques blaring prayers through deafening loudspeakers, yet the moral fabric of society continues to deteriorate.
Instead of transforming lives, many of us leave these places of worship only to perpetuate the same corruption and vices that plague the nation.
God is seeking for men like Dele Farotimi, who are willing to stand in the gap and rebuild this nation.
In the book of Ezekiel,God declared He was searching for someone to intercede and repair the broken walls of Jerusalem,Likewise,in Nigeria,
God is seeking selfless individuals ready to sacrifice for the redemption of this nation from its shameful and pitiful state.Dele Farotimi exemplifies this rare breed of leadership.
The scarcity of individuals like Dele Farotimi stems from a harsh reality which is too many of us are no different from those looting and destroying Nigeria.
Many of us are simply waiting for our opportunity to outdo the current leaders in plundering the nation’s resources.
The fight to rescue Nigeria must continue with renewed urgency.
As things continue to fall apart,we must resist the temptation to be complicit and instead strive for a collective effort to restore hope, justice, and integrity in our beloved country.
Good people of Nigeria, distinguished ladies and gentlemen.let us encourage ourselves and rescue Nigeria,A new Nigeria is possible.
