Fire in the wee hours of Wednesday, gutted Focus Holiday Inn, a popular hotel located in the Garki area of the federal capital territory.
The fire this medium gathered, started around 3am, causing panic among guests and staff.
The alarm of the inferno was reportedly raised by a guest who rushed to the reception completely unclad to report the incident.
The fire, which started in one section of the three-story building, quickly spread to other parts of the hotel complex, prompting immediate evacuation efforts.
Though, despite several emergency calls, fire service officials reportedly delayed in arriving at the scene.
However, they eventually arrived and began efforts to put out the fire.
Founded in 2022, Focus Holiday Inn is known for its luxurious accommodations, describing itself as an upscale home away from home in Abuja.
At the time of filing this report, no casualties had been confirmed, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
