FLASH: Former U.N. secretary general Boutros Boutros-Ghali dead
The former UN secretary-general who led the world body from 1992 to 1996, has died, Venezuela’s ambassador and this month’s Security Council president announced Tuesday.
“We have been informed that the former secretary-general Boutros Boutros Ghali has passed away,” Ambassador Rafael Ramirez told the council.
