The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is facing a new wave of internal crisis.

A major disagreement is growing between allies of Governor Seyi Makinde and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports.

This rift threatens to overshadow the party’s 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for May 27.

Wike has distanced himself from the PDP’s ongoing reconciliation efforts.

He blamed Governors Seyi Makinde and Peter Mbah for frustrating the unity process.

Wike accused them of deepening party divisions and stalling peace efforts.

His statement has drawn sharp criticism from other senior members of the PDP.

Chief Osita Madu, a former deputy publicity secretary, responded strongly to Wike’s comments.

He alleged that Wike is playing a dangerous political double game.

Madu claimed Wike is loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the day.

At night, he presents himself as a dedicated PDP member.

He described Wike as the architect of the PDP’s ongoing instability.

Madu said Wike’s role in the APC-led government contradicts his claims of party loyalty.

He accused Wike of sabotaging the PDP from within while aligning with the APC externally.

According to Madu, Wike wants the PDP to remain divided for personal advantage.

“If the PDP regains strength, Wike must leave the APC government,” Madu argued.

Madu insisted Wike would lose political cover if the PDP stabilizes.

He claimed this is why Wike resists genuine reconciliation efforts within the party.

Madu also alleged a deeper alliance between Wike and President Bola Tinubu.

He said their partnership is aimed at controlling future political events, especially in Rivers State.

“Wike and Tinubu have a hidden agenda,” Madu warned in his remarks.

He added that this agenda could significantly impact the 2027 elections.

This strategy may target political dominance in Rivers and other key regions.

Party insiders worry the PDP may lose relevance if the crisis continues.

Some fear the party could become too divided to function as effective opposition.

Many believe the upcoming NEC meeting will be a turning point for the PDP.

If unresolved, the current tensions may lead to further instability within the party.

The leadership now faces pressure to restore internal harmony quickly.

Observers say decisive action is needed to prevent more damage to party unity.

There are growing calls for discipline, fairness, and honest reconciliation among members.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that PDP unity is crucial ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Party loyalists warn that resolving the crisis is vital for the PDP’s survival.

They urge the NEC to act firmly to restore credibility and internal order.
