Fulani militias kill 7 in midnight attack on Benue community

Terrorist Fulani herdsmen kill over 36 people in Katsina Ala, Benue State

At least seven people, including women and children, have been killed, with several others reported missing, following a midnight attack by Fulani militias on Agbo Vengav community in Udam, Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to reports, the deadly assault occurred around 1am on Friday when the attackers stormed the sleeping community.

A local source, who preferred to remain anonymous, revealed that a young girl was among those killed, while her mother was abducted by the assailants.

Her whereabouts remain unknown.

The source added that the armed men caught the community off guard.

“The attack started around 1:00 a.m. on Friday. Seven bodies have been recovered so far, but many people are still unaccounted for,” the source stated.

Benue State police command is yet to issue an official statement in respect to the development.
