Ganduje declares APC victory in Kano inevitable, slams NNPP’s governance

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has expressed confidence that his party will reclaim Kano State in the next election.

He accused the current administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, under the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), of failing to meet the expectations of Kano residents.

Speaking at a dinner organized by the 8th and 9th APC Kano State House of Assembly Forum, Ganduje, represented by Kano APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbas, declared that the APC was ready to take over the state government in 2027.

According to him, the alleged failures of the NNPP government have made it clear that the APC will have an easy victory in the upcoming election.

During his address, Abdullahi Abbas quoted Ganduje as saying, “God has already shown His support for us. The current administration has failed Kano, and we are ready to take over. The next election will be straightforward for us.”

This strong statement highlights the APC’s determination to reclaim power in Kano, a state that has historically been a key political battleground in Nigeria.

The dinner event celebrated prominent APC figures and acknowledged their contributions to the party’s progress.

Key honorees included Rt. Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, Labaran Abdul Madari, and Baffa Babba Danagundi, all recognized for their dedication and service to the APC.

The event served as a moment of reflection and a rallying point for the party as it prepares for the next electoral cycle.

Several dignitaries attended the gathering, emphasizing its importance to the APC’s political strategy in Kano.

Among the attendees was the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, represented by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Ibn Abdallah.

The APC remains confident about its chances of regaining Kano State in 2027.

Party leaders used the event to strategize and reaffirm their commitment to delivering governance that prioritizes the welfare of Kano’s residents.

They also emphasized the need to strengthen grassroots support and mobilize voters to ensure electoral success.

With APC leaders voicing dissatisfaction with the NNPP-led administration, the upcoming Kano elections are expected to be highly competitive.

The APC plans to capitalize on what it perceives as the failures of the incumbent government to secure victory.
