Gunmen have abducted a member of Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Justice Azuka.
The lawmaker was reportedly kidnapped at Ugwunapampa road, in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Tuesday night while returning home.
A statement by the spokesman of Anambra State police, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, revealed that the Command has “activated Operational plans for the possible rescue and arrest of the kidnappers of the lawmaker.”
Ikenga confirmed that Hon. Azuka, the member representing Onitsha North Constituency was taken away by the criminal elements at about 9:20pm.
“The Command is already working on some clues for possible rescue and arrest of the kidnappers”, Ikenga said.
