Gunmen have kidnapped Alhaji Kabir Muhammed, the elder brother of Alhaji Mustapha Muhammed, the Secretary to the Katsina State Government on Friday.
Alhaji Muhammed was reportedly kidnapped while he was working on his farm in Daftau Village, Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.
According to village sources, Muhammed said to be “between 78 and 80 years of age” and of fragile health, was missing after he failed to participate in the seven early morning Muslim prayers.
Efforts to reach him at the mosque and farm fueled speculations by friends and family members who later confirmed that he had been abducted.
ElombahNews gathered that the gunmen are yet to contact the family as at late Friday.
