Igbo Ambassadors UK launch South East Economic Blueprint
Honours Peter Obi, Valentine Ozigbo, Obi Cubana, Agbalanze Ifekudu

The Igbo Ambassadors UK on Saturday night marked its End-of-Year Celebrations involving the Patron Investiture Ceremony and the official launch of ”Southeast The Good News” Economic Blueprint.
According to Mr. Valentine Ozigbo who took to his X handle, the event honoured some dignitaries including the Labour Party (L. P.) Presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, who was award a “Political Icon”.
Others include Mr. Obi Cubana, Agbalanze Ifekudu amongst others.
Mr. Ozigbo stated that he was delighted to have been recognized also, as a leader.
His tweet reads: “I had the privilege and honour to chair the end-of-the-year celebrations and received an award as a ‘Beacon of Hope’.
“The National leader of Labour Party (LP) and Presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, was also honoured with award as Political Icon.
“They also conferred patronship on top businessmen and socialites – Obinna Tochuukwu Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana) and Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu).
“The recognitions highlighted the organisation’s commitment to recognising excellence across both the political and business spheres”, he added.
According to expects, the group of young Nigerians were said to be a diaspora community that has the interest of their homeland at heart.
The tweet continues: “This gathering of young, forward-thinking professionals exemplified how the diaspora community can mobilise resources and expertise for homeland development.
“Southeast The Good News Economic Blueprint represents our collective aspiration for systematic, sustainable growth through diaspora engagement.
“This group of young people who came together to explore ways to help one another with Ofu Obi Ifunanya (Unity/Love) as their Motto, are also working to impact positively, planning to use ‘Southeast Economic Blueprint Diaspora Fund to coalesce investments in certain sectors in conjunction with a purposeful and a willing government”.
Ozigbo disclosed how happy he was saying: “I am delighted that they have already identified me as a leader and partner of the organisation and its programmes.
Speaking at the event, Igbo Ambassadors UK President Ambassador Ugochukwu Onyibor Morah stated that the organization’s goal to be a symbol of excellence and solidarity “has been a journey defined by growth, resilience, and a shared vision of uplifting our community both here in the UK and back home.
“Through our collective efforts, we have achieved remarkable milestones.
“From organizing annual family picnic events and mentorship programs to facilitating investment opportunities and supporting local businesses, our work has made a difference in the lives of many.
Ambassador Morah added that the organizational goals include strengthening ties within our diaspora.
He stated that their dedication to meaningful community service has strengthened their ties to their heritage.
He added: “Our commitment to impactful community works has also fostered stronger bonds within our diaspora and reinforced our connection to our heritage.
“Today, as we launch, Southeast The Good News Economic Blueprint, we take yet another bold step forward.
“This initiative symbolizes our commitment to the economic empowerment and sustainable development of the Southeast.
“It is our pledge to contribute to a future where the Igbo community thrives on a foundation of opportunity, self-reliance, and prosperity.
“I am confident that with your continued support, this blueprint will become a catalyst for positive change and progress.
“As we celebrate, let us also reaffirm our shared values, our resilience, and our dedication to a brighter future for our community.
“I am grateful to each one of you for believing in me and in our shared mission.
“Together, we have accomplished much, and together, we will continue to achieve even greater heights”.
Earlier: Ozigbo called for transformative vision
Speaking to a group of Ndi Anambra professionals and elders during the Anambra State Public Officers and Elders Forum (ASPOF) conference in Abuja, distinguished leader and Anambra State gubernatorial candidate Mr. Valentine Ozigbo urged for revolutionary vision.
The event brought together prominent Anambra leaders who are committed to building a better future for the state, according to the press release.
Chief Pa. Simon Okeke served as the event’s chairman.
Mr. Ozigbo introduced his ground-breaking concept, “Ka Anambra Chawpụ,” a comprehensive plan designed to leverage Anambra’s wealth of cultural, historical, and financial assets.
“This vision aims to create a self-generative, progressive future for our state by uniting tradition with modern governance approaches”, Ozigbo stated.
During his speech, he explicitly inquired whether to whether the crowd was satisfied with the current state of Anambra’s government.
Everyone in the audience reportedly said “No”.
The source claims that this answer was a strong call for leadership that represents the wishes of the people.
Ozigbo asked the audience to recognize their collective power to shape the future.
He reminded them that choosing the state’s leaders is their responsibility.
From his early years as the son of a village headmaster and church catechist in Amesi, Aguata, to his achievements as a global CEO, Mr. Ozigbo also shared his journey.
“This path of integrity, diligence, and excellence is a testament to what we can achieve as a people.
“Ka Anambra Chawpụ is my pledge to uphold these values in service to our state”, he affirmed.
