Big Brother Naija alumnus, Hermes Iyele has taken to his social media handle to announce the death of his mother, Isioma Phebian Iyele.

The Reality TV personality posted an update on his Instagram page on Wednesday, announcing the death of his mother.

As reported by Pulse, Hermes shared photographs of him and his mom and an account number, inviting friends, fans, and well-wishers to support the funeral expenses.

The post read “it is with profound sorrow that I announce the passing of my dearly beloved mother, Isioma Phebian Iyele, who passed on November 5, 2024.”

“I share this news publicly as I begin my grief and seek support during this difficult time, as I am presently overwhelmed emotionally and financially.”

“I humbly request your prayers and assistance for my siblings and I.”

According to the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Hermes announced that he received the heartbreaking news while traveling for work, which suddenly disrupted his work.

“He humbly asks for understanding and patience from his audience as he takes the necessary time to process his grief.”

Hermes wrote “I am currently engaged in a professional commitment abroad, I regretfully received the devastating news while in transit.”

“Despite the challenges, I am striving to fulfill my duties while simultaneously attending to the necessary arrangements.”

“I kindly request your understanding and patience during this difficult time, as my availability to respond to calls and messages will be limited. Upon my return, we will commence the burial proceedings.”
