The development of a society in positive ways that enhance the socio-economic life of the people is an hallmark of a good politician.
And being a good politician, of course with proven records of development driven representation, is what the legislator representing dear people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South & Ekwusigo federal constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu have continued to trail-braze on.
It was one social media commentator, Ejim Emmanuel Ucheagwu who addressed the three-time-in-a-row elected lawmaker we fondly called Mr Project as The Bricks and Caterpillar Revolutionary. And it struck in very proper.

It struck-in because verifiable records that shows proof are out there in all parts of Anambra State. And I couldn’t resist using it to form the title of this piece. Therefore, I give due credit to the originator of that address.
When we talk of the UNN graduated Agricultural Engineer as a Bricks Revolutionary, we refer to all gigantic edifices he has built as a pilot for economic advancement and job creation development in his constituency.
We take for example, the $250 million ongoing construction project Nnewi Automotive Industrial Park which will, upon completion and commissioning, employ over 10,000 direct to workers and 100,000 indirect workers.
The quoted figures are not being exaggerated by the way.
And when we talk of the current Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Aids, Loans and Debt Management, that is Mr Project, as a Caterpillar Revolutionary, we refer to all the road and bridge interventions he has initiated, completed, and commissioned, including these marked “Work in Progress”.
We take example on the very recently completed Oriogodo Bridge in Ebe Ukpọ (Ukpor) for which the people there have continued to express joy and showering blessings on Mr Project.
We must recalled that this very bridge was a dilapidated wooden bridge meant for only pedestrian crossing before the workaholic lawmaker intervened through the federal government.
Today, and we mean right now, Oriogodo bridge is wearing a brand new, transformative look all-round. The good politician in Engr Azubogu made it possible. As he promised his constituents in Ebe, Ukpọ that he will fix the bridge and connect the divides with motorable road, so has he fulfilled it.
Moreso, the fixing and connecting of the bridge wasn’t all that was done. Drainage system was constructed and properly channeled into Ezengwu stream. The road were fixed too. Next stage for the road will be asphalting for durability, and long lasting of course.
And for Mr Project, he is more than happy that one can now use a vehicle to pass through this road in Ebe, Ukpọ. Hitherto, before he intervened, no vehicle passes this road.
Suffice to add that IfeanyiChukwu Nnewi who also serve as a member, House Committee on Appropriation at the National Assembly in Abuja also successfully installed a 300kva transformer at Akwu Ebe in Ukpọ with 15 high tension poles across the Ezengwu stream where the wooden bridge was replaced with a concrete.
What more can we appraise of a good politician whose focus is to create and retain jobs for the betterment of the people?
If there is a good politician who believes strongly that our people only need enabling environment to thrive and are not asking for too much when they draw his attention to their plight for prompt intervention, Mr Project is the one.
As 2023 beckons and for partnership that works, Engr Azubogu should be pushed into the Red Chamber where he will be in a great position to do much more for the people’s benefit.
The difference is clear!
