How Man raped 14-year-old to death in Imo Community

There was pandemonium at Umuduruewuewuru, Umuezeala Nsu, in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday after some youths in the area razed the house of a 22-year-old suspected Internet fraudster, identified as Osuji.

Osuji allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl, Amarachi Iwunze, in his newly built house on Sunday.

A source in the community told our correspondent that Osuji escaped after his mother raised the alarm, which attracted residents and indigenes to the scene.

DDM News gathered that the teenager’s body was found in the suspect’s room.

Our correspondent saw a video clip showing the rampaging youths as they destroyed the house of the suspect.

The Publicity Secretary of Umuezeala Nsu Youth Organisation, Nathan Onyenehido, told our correspondent that the victim’s corpse was discovered on Sunday in Osuji’s room.

He said, “Little Amarachi Iwunze was raped to death on Sunday, June 12, by one Osuji, a suspected Yahoo boy and ritualist.

“The ugly news came late hours of yesterday, when the mother of the suspect unlocked a room and found the dead body of little Amarachi.

On raising the alarm, it was discovered that Osuji, her son, was the suspect and killer.

“When Osuji found out that people were aware of his ugly act, he took to his heels.”

The victim’s grandfather, Raymond Iwunze, demanded justice.

He said, “Amarachi was my granddaughter.

Her father, my first son, is in Lagos. She had been with me since the death of her mother, my daughter-in-law.

I want the government to give me justice.”

The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched an investigation.

The victim’s grandfather, Raymond Iwunze, has called on the government to ensure justice is served ¹.
